Groups and Activities

Badminton
We have a small group of enthusiastic players, mainly retired, sometimes supplemented during school holidays with players of the future. Some exercise is our main objective. New members are very welcome. Friday mornings at 10.30. For further details contact Mary Koi, email: marykoi@talktalk.net.

Choir
The Choir normally rehearses on Friday evenings at 7.30pm, and on Sundays at 10.20am before Morning Worship. For more information, please contact the Organist and Choirmaster, Ian Lawrie, email: ianlawrie51@gmail.com.

Coffee & Conversation
We meet on a Tuesday afternoon and on a Wednesday evening once a month to have conversations around a Bible passage. Details are in our Events Calendar. Do join us if you would like to journey with us.

Prayer Group
We meet for prayer on the second Wednesday of each month at 10.30am in one of the Church rooms. Do join us for just half an hour, and send Prayer Requests to Rev Clare Davison at revclare.urcleeds@gmail.com

The Guild
While tracing its origin to the “Womens’ Guilds” of earlier times, and continuing their tradition of socializing, fellowship and charitable activity, today’s Guild has no members, no joining fee, and definitely no restriction on gender. Its meetings, on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, are open to everyone in the Church and their friends.

On each second Tuesday, we meet at 12.30pm for a good lunch, starting at 1pm. This is catered by several volunteers, with such skill that the modest charge of £3 per head normally covers both the cost of the meal and a charitable donation.

Meetings at 2.30pm on each fourth Tuesday offer a varied menu of talks, entertainments and outings. Tea and cakes are evident on most occasions – welcome and good company on all. Please see the Newsletter for details.

A standing invitation to contribute spare change to the “Pennies for Bibles” collection enables us to make periodic donations to the Bible Society, and thus to help provide many people with a knowledge of the love of God, and the story of Christ’s journey on earth.
